The area has lots of color and personality from Historic Districts, Farmer's markets in Hyannis and Yarmouth, intimate Bed and Breakfasts and Craft Fairs including the Cranberry Harvest Festival (Harwich), Yarmouth Seaside Festival and Dennis Festival Days.

For shopaholics, there are various Village Boutiques for clothing, jewelry, Cape Cod collectables, and art and tourist trinkets in West Dennis, Hyannis, Dennis Port, Dennis Village, Harwich Port, Chatham, Osterville, Falmouth, Woods Hole and Provincetown.

Things To Do on Cape Cod

There are volunteer opportunities and a plethora of programs for adults and kids including the Cape Cod Baseball League and an active Senior Baseball League. Golf is very popular and one is never more than 7 minutes from a golf course on the Cape. Yacht clubs provide sailing lessons and there are many hiking and birding clubs.

Adult education classes are run at the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School, Sandwich High School and there are active Senior Centers in most towns on the Cape that provide dance, exercise classes, clubs, mahjong, bridge and more. The YMCA also offers a full complement of indoor recreational activities for kids and adults including weight lifting and swimming.
